Community

We love Sutton, and being part of London, and are committed to making a difference in our local area by serving generously and abundantly, connecting with people to see lives transformed both physically and spiritually.

We want to make a difference by practically demonstrating God's love and acceptance to everyone, with no strings attached, whatever their background, circumstances or religion - because we believe that God is compassionate and cares deeply about our neighbourhoods and our community.

We have a range of compassion ministries which enable us to do this through one-off events, and regular spaces to meet, serve and pray with people. This includes our growbaby project - Lighthouse - and our toddler group The Wendy House. We run short courses on practical topics and partner with Sutton Schools Work and Sutton Community Works locally.

The Wendy House

The Wendy House

The Wendy House is our mid week group for babies, pre-schoolers, and their grown-ups, to play, learn and socialise together. Run by a welcoming team of volunteers from the church and local community, it offers a fun range of stimulating and age-appropriate toys and activities for little ones.

Young and old alike, you are invited to potter in the role-play area, try your hand at the playdough and craft activities, rush around on a ride-on or in the outdoor play area, relax on the baby playmats, and join in the song and story time.

Can you help?

We are always looking for new team members. If you are able to help set up toys and craft activities, chat to parents/carers, help in the kitchen, provide cake for the adults at snack time, please speak to Laraine or Jacqui or email wendyhouse@suttonvineyard.org

Sessions are currently being held on Tuesdays 12pm - 2pm (Term time only) at  Stayton House, 93 Stayton Road, Sutton, SM1 2PS.

Please note, due to the extreme generosity of so many people, we are overrun with donations! Unfortunately, we cannot accept any more donations of clothing, but greatly appreciate any equipment such as buggies, prams and cots. Thank you.

Courses

Courses

There are many things we do in life for which we get no training, and have to just ‘learn on the job’.

We run a range of courses focused on a particular area of life which are valuable to both people from within our own church, and in the local community.

Our courses can help you to be a better parent, build a stronger marriage or be smarter with your money by taking the opportunity to take time to reflect on what we are doing whilst learning tips and skills from good-quality material as well as sharing ideas with other people.

All our courses are free, interactive and discussion-based, but with no requirement to disclose anything you don’t want to.
