Why we give

The bible clearly teaches the principle of giving, and giving money is just one way we show commitment to the work and ministry of the church to which we belong. We want to be a generous people, providing the church with resources to fulfil its calling and demonstrating God's generosity outside our church in what we give away.

This church is entirely financed through generous, regular giving from the congregation. Every Vineyard church is financially autonomous and survives and thrives independently of the UK association. We are committed to giving in thankfulness to God and in recognition that everything we have comes from Him.

The reason that the church is able to give in so many ways to the community around us and beyond, is because of the financial tithes, offerings and gifts given by members and friends of our church for the work of the Kingdom of God.

We embrace irrational generosity

We know it changes lives - ours and the people we are reaching. At Sutton Vineyard Church, taking action on your generosity is simple.

Tithing is our foundation of giving. The Bible teaches us a baseline standard for giving: the tithe. When we give the first 10% of our income to the church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. The Three-Month Tithe Challenge can help you get started.

There are a number of ways we can give:

  • Standing Order- The most helpful way for people to give regularly to the church is by standing order, enabling us to budget more effectively. The ability to know what our regular income is makes it far easier for us to pay our regular bills and be good stewards of the church's money. You can do this in 2 ways

    • Directly with your bank using the following details

      • Account Number 70549847 Sort Code 08-92-50

    • By completing this form

  • Online - Click here to give securely using our online giving site. If you wish to make a one-off donation, you will be asked to set up a direct debit, but only one payment will be taken.

  • Cash and Cheques made payable to Sutton Vineyard Church. Envelopes are provided to be placed in the offering box situated at the back of the church on a Sunday morning.

Gift aid Declaration

For every £1 you donate, Sutton Vineyard Church will receive a further 25p through HMRC. In order to qualify for this, you must pay Income Tax and/ or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the amount of Gift Aid that will be claimed by charities you donate to. 3 Month Tithe Challenge

3 Month Tithe Challenge

Countless people experience God’s blessings when they tithe, but often the first step is the hardest one to take. The Three-Month Tithe Challenge is a money-back guarantee of sorts. Essentially, it’s a contract based on God’s promises in Malachi 3:10-11.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."

our commitment to you

New Givers - If you tithe for three months and God doesn’t hold true to His promises, we will refund 100% of your tithe.

Existing Givers - If you increase your tithe for 3 months and God doesn't hold true to His promises, we will refund you difference between your original tithe and new tithe.

To take the Challenge complete the form here and we’ll send you more details.
