-PROPHECY-
Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:3 that the gift of prophecy is for the encouragement, edification, comfort and strengthening of believers. We believe that all who have received the Holy Spirit are able to prophesy and at Sutton Vineyard we have a team of people who have been learning and practising this gift and are now ready to serve our congregation so that you may be comforted, strengthened and encouraged in your faith!
Appointments for a personal prophecy session are with 2 or 3 members of our team. This is not a counselling or advice session, nor should you come with any agenda, other than a desire to hear from God in a short and informal, but dedicated, time of listening to what God may have to say through his Holy Spirit.
You will be invited into a twenty minute Zoom meeting with team members, who will seek to hear from God on your behalf and share that with you. We are all still learning, so please remember that, as scripture advises, all prophecy needs to be weighed carefully with the help of the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth (John 16:13).
Please note that subsequent appointment requests should allow at least a three month gap in order for you to really steward with care what you have received, pressing fully into whatever God has said.
