-FLOURISH: REFLECTIONS-

Flourish is our inter-generational ministry for women at Sutton Vineyard. Join us on Friday 14th July for an evening hearing from some of our women sharing about their own female Bible inspirations followed by a time of worship and ministry.  Head here for all the info and to sign up here.

-SUNDAYS-

This month we will be continuing our Faith Foundation Series, Exploring the foundations that underpin our Christian life. We will also be having a celebratory baptism service on Sunday 9th July!

-YOUTH-

year 5 and 6 mini golf - friday 14th july

For all young people currently in School Years 5 and 6, they are invited for a fun filled 18 holes of adventure golf at Jurassic Encounter in New Malden. 

This event is all about starting to build relationships between our years 5 and 6's all of whom will be in the same youth group from September.  Click here for more information and to sign up.

Is your young person currently in Year 5 and transitioning into Youth this coming September? Then this event is for them and for you as their parents and carers too! Click here for more information and to sign up.

This month, Hub will be running on weeks 1 and 3. Sunday 2nd and 16th July.

At the end of July our Youth will be heading to Dreaming the Impossible! Please do keep them in your prayers as they worship, learn and spend time together. For parents and carers of Youth going to DTI, there is an information evening on Tuesday 11th July - click here for more info and to sign up.

Our Big Kids will be continuing to learn about all of the Fruits of the Spirit, whilst our Mini Kids continue to learn about how we can talk to God!

Lighthouse summer sessions - Our volunteers take a break over the Summer holiday, but Lighthouse will be open on Thursday 3rd and Thursday 24th August at The Dolphin, 316 High Street, SM1 1PR 10:00-13:00. If you or anyone you know are in need of baby clothes and equipment for 0-5s, please do drop in!

New Talk Series: Faith Foundations

Over the next few Sundays, Julian and Libby will be exploring their new talk series Faith Foundations: Exploring the foundations that underpin our Christian life.

Join us on Sundays at Overton Grange School from 10:00 for complimentary refreshments. Kids sign in and our livestream begin at 10:15, and our service begin at 10:30.

We'd love to invite the church to pray in these three areas over the next few months. As we go through Faith Foundations series on a Sunday, we seek The Lord to live out what we learn and focus our prayer life in our homes and everyday lives. 

Live our faith- Lord, help me have the mind of Christ in all things.

Share our faith- Lord, help us be the light of Christ in reaching our community.

Farewell Steve and Lyn!

On Sunday we said goodbye to our Interim Senior Pastors Steve and Lyn Burnhope!

We are so thankful to the for the fantastic job they have done over the last few months, including helping us with the recruitment of our new Senior Pastors. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours!

Commissioning of Libby and Julian Arnold

Last week we had a fantastic time welcoming Libby and Julian Arnold as the new Senior Pastors of Sutton Vineyard! On Sunday 18th June, we will be saying goodbye to Steve and Lyn Burnhope, our interim Senior Pastors, who have done such a fantastic job over the last few months, including helping us with the recruitment of our new Senior Pastors.

Sutton Community Works’ Foodshop are currently seeing over 55 people at each session, and are desperately in need of the below items to continue to serve those in need. As a church, we would love it if those contributing to our food trolley on a Sunday could bring the following items:

We had such a wonderful time at our Baptism service on Sunday, with 6 people being baptised including some of our Youth!

Lighthouse Update

lighthouse provides free pre-loved, good quality clothes and equipment for under 5s.

It is free of charge and open to anyone who needs it, regardless of their income, background or faith. It is run by volunteers from Sutton Vineyard. If you need help with any clothing and equipment then our friendly team would love to meet with you.

From Thursday 20th April, Lighthouse will be open every term time Thursday 10:00 - 13:00 (last entry 12:30) at The Dolphin, 316 High Street, Sutton, SM1 1PR.

Warm Welcome

We are a Warm Welcome space - a safe community space on Sutton High Street!

The space is open for anyone to come along and work, read, chat and socialise in a coffee bar style venue. We have free wifi, hot drinks and snacks waiting for you and our friendly team would love to meet with you with a warm welcome.

Baptisms

We are so excited for our upcoming Baptism service! 5 adults and young people have decided to get baptised and we can’t wait to celebrate together as a church family.

Join us this Sunday 16th April at Overton Grange School, 36 Stanley Road, SM2 6TQ from 10:00 for complimentary refreshments! Our service begins at 10:30.

Potbound: A Taster Session

How much we are constrained by our circumstances, our habits, and our relationships? 

"Potbound" is a creative prayer retreat designed to give people time to relax, unwind and explore a deeper walk with God through Creativity, and new ways of praying.

This taster course will provide space to reflect and explore St Giles' prayer labyrinth and prayer garden, tuition in the craft of needle felting, as well as painting and other crafts. 

The retreat is run by Wendy Sullivan and Alison Bowden from Sutton Vineyard, and runs from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Friday 21st April and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday 22nd April. Tickets cost £22.50 and cover all refreshments and materials for the day. For more information and to sign up, click here.

Exploring Baptism

If you have yet to be baptised and would like to explore what being baptised is all about - then this is for you!

We would love to invite you to an informal evening at Stayton House to explore the subject of Baptism. Steve, our interim Senior Pastor, will be explaining 

a) the biblical background
b) why Christians practice baptism 
c) what's involved practically in being baptised

There will then be an open Q&A time. 

Signing up to this event does not commit you to being baptised. It is an opportunity to learn more about baptism and able to to ask any questions you may have.
